I am a design engineer with a passion for nature and sustainability. I enjoy using design creativity as a tool to find exciting solutions to seemingly intractable problems, turning crisis to opportunity.

where I’m coming from

Training as a product designer, the real solutions to problems so often lay in the surrounding service and in system change, not the object itself. I am a supporter of environmental activism and grass-roots action, and have worked with community involvement projects like YoCo and York Design Week, and a co-founder of Wild York.
Combine my lifelong dedication to abating the climate crisis, my love of nature, need to end systemic inequality and dreams of extraordinary cities where all species thrive… – and you get a concept like Wild Streets.

what makes me tick

favourite sandbox idea

Wild Streets for farmers. An interactive in-the-field tool to help growers plan long term, symbiotic plantings for food, fibre and habitat. A version of the app to aid with the intricacies of the design, and persuade others of the intergenerational potential.
